Policies and Procedures
Registration
Parents or legal guardians must sign all of our waivers before their student(s) can participate in class. All parents or legal guardians must pay a one-time $40 registration fee per student at the beginning of the season. If a student decides to take a break for more than one month, a registration fee will be required again before they can re-enroll. All registered students must participate in our Annual Summer Recital.
Tuition *New Policy Update*
Starting August 1, 2023, all payments will be adjusted to AutoPay. Tuition fees are due on the 7th of each month, and will be automatically charged to the card on file. AutoPay for tuition and recital fees is a requirement at Dance 4:13. If the payment is declined, we will notify you via text or email. If your card declines and no replacement card is added before the 10th, a late fee of $35 will be assessed. Tuition DOES NOT fluctuate based on the number of weeks in the month, studio closures, and holidays. Dance 4:13 will prorate tuition if a student is registered in the middle of the month. No refunds will be given for classes dropped mid-month. Dance 4:13 reserves the right to charge the card on file until payment is made in full. Dance 4:13 reserves the right to stop lessons and drop students from classes due to non-payment.
To drop classes, please submit a request to enroll@dance413.com, so we can stop billing your account. All cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the 7th of each month. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Attendance
All students must arrive at their classes on time. Students will have a 15 min grace period; if a student shows up after the grace period, they can only observe the class. If the student decides not to observe class, they can make up for the missed class in the future. All late attendance will not count as an absence.
Absences
If a student is absent from a class, they can make up their class in another dance class of any style at the same level. Make-ups must be completed within one month from the date it was missed. Make-up classes are non-transferable. Please note that if the class size is too large or is already full, the student will not be able to make up in that class.
Drop Off & Pick Up
Students will be supervised during class time only, and all students are expected to be dropped off and picked up on time.
Dress Code
For the student to get the best quality of training, they must follow our studio’s guidelines. The dress code is non-negotiable, and the students must participate in the proper attire for their classes. Showing up in the correct dance attire enables our staff to see and correct the proper placement of each student. Showing up in the proper attire will develop self-discipline and responsibility.

For the safety of the students, jewelry of any kind is prohibited in class (small studs are acceptable). Hair must be in a bun for all ballet classes. Hair must be pulled back and out of the face for all other classes.

No Parent Viewing
Dance 4:13 Inc. has a strict NO PARENT VIEWING policy. We take pride in the teaching methods that we have for each class, and some of those amazing outcomes of having the “no parent” rule in the studio are:
Students’ ability to stay focused for the entire class time
Developing strong independence in children (especially with ages 3+)
Students’ ability to develop confidence in learning to handle emotional and physical obstacles on their own
Providing a safe, quiet, and peaceful environment where our students feel comfortable walking around, eating their meals, and doing their homework
Providing a safe and judgment-free zone for both our students and staff
All of our dance rooms and lobby are equipped with security cameras for our students and staff's safety.
Please Note: We will have a parent viewing during specific dates, so please keep a look out for them throughout the season.
Photography and Videography
Dance 4:13 Inc. respects the privacy of our student’s training, and only authorized photos and video recordings will be allowed. If you wish to take a photo or record a video while your student is in class, you must seek permission from one of our studio directors beforehand. We appreciate you following our policy.
